Final Thought As We Enter Morning.

I Love You All!!! Every single person in this world, whether you read my blog, or not, whether I know you in every day life, or not, you have a purpose! And it is up to you to carry out that purpose.
What if YOU are the butterfly wings? Will you deny the winds of change? I love you all, more than you will ever know! I just want the world to know you have value! You have a purpose!! And most importantly, you have love!!! You have love from me and countless others, but the strongest love, the deepest love that is known only in the deepest reaches of our soul comes from our Heavenly Father! He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment of Hell that belongs to each one of us. He beat it! Hell is gone only because of Jesus!
If I never write one more word, if I never have a chance to tell you one more thing, that would be it!! You have a purpose– FIND IT!!! And secondly, JESUS and I love you more than you will ever know! Good night, Good Morning and God Bless!

When Will We Get It Right?

We have all heard the Bible verse from 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, “Love is patient, Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily-angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” So, why are there so many hurting people in the world if we profess all these things? The answer is painful, yet simple, my friends. We profess, but we do not act!!!
We often believe we are judge jury and executioner and people throw around phrases like, “only God can judge me.” Yet, these same people who are feeling judged long for only one thing– Love.
So, the next time you want to show someone JESUS and they say “what good is it anyway?” I want you to look at this verse before you speak and ask yourself, “Is what I am about to say patient or kind? Is it boastful or full of my own pride? Will it come across rude or self-seeking? Will the backlash that will come from the conversation easily anger me? Will I be holding on to this response forever and because of that, will I never engage this person in love ever again? Will the person with whom I am speaking see the joy within me that can only come from Jesus? Am I willing to protect this person once they accept the love of Jesus, am I willing to protect them BEFORE then while they may be angry at me or even hate me? Am I willing to stay the course with them in a loving way so HOPEFULLY one day they will see how much I love them?”
These are the questions that need to be answered my friends in Faith in Jesus Christ!!! For so long we have had it wrong!!! We are NOT judge, Jury and Executioner. God is the judge and Jesus is the lawyer who is willing to pay all charges on our behalf, but we won’t get a guilty person even into the courtroom to meet Jesus with anger and fear!!! It all needs to be done in love. And if you need the definition it is right there in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
Now, for let’s go a step further. This verse is the character of Jesus!!! Sub in Jesus for Love, because Jesus IS Love! And from now on quit using Him as a battering ram for humanity!!! That is NOT His intended purpose. I love you all and I hope today is another day of I.M.P.A.C.T. For every one of you who reads my blog. I love you all more than you will ever know and I hope you’ll call me out on that when it is not patient or kind.

Do You Believe In Miracles?

As children a large number of us believe in Santa Claus, or The Easter Bunny or The Pot Of Gold at the end of the rainbow. We are constantly searching for miracles and we believe we find them!! But our world tells us it is make believe and over time we are not to believe in things. Could that be the reason for a lack of faith from adults?
We encounter an event that rocks us to the bedrock of our core and that is what our core has become, bedrock. What if we were to let it stay soft and spongy as when we were children? Maybe, just maybe, we would see more miracles.
I believe in Jesus Christ. If you are a follower of my blog you already know that I make that no secret. But did you know that I converse with Him daily? I do. And He even talks through my dreams and I cannot WAIT for last night’s dream to come to fruition!!
If you are a follower of my blog you also know that I was born with Spina Bifida. This birth defect has caused me to spend my adult life confined to a wheelchair. Lately I have been experiencing shoulder pain and after last night I think I know why!!
God LOVES to remove all doubt and this time He is not pulling any punches either. I dreamed that I got up, stood up out of bed and got ready for my day at work. When I got to work I walked in and EVERYONE BEGAN TO BELIEVE IN MIRACLES AND PRAISE JESUS!!!!
Now, this may not be what God actually does, but I truly believe He can!! This may have been a dream for me to use His Spirit within me to revive our community for Him. Or, it could totally have been a prophetic dream and one day soon I will walk into my job at Walmart and because of it all those who witness will have no choice but believe!!
My question to you today is what condition is your spirit in? Will you allow God to use your circumstances no matter how difficult they are to create a miracle and bring others to Him through the witness of your adversity? God is waiting for a universe of miracles to bring forth a world that completely believes in Him. Will you allow Him to speak through you today? Will YOU be the miracle?

Unbelievably stubborn

I am unbelievably stubborn!!! I woke up this morning after going to bed early last night and I knew I wasn’t feeling well. I slept for more than 12 hours!!!
Well, I woke up today feeling groggy and numb, with a little discomfort in my chest. I had an “incident” this afternoon feeling light chest discomfort and I ended up vomiting. I thought I might go in to get checked out, but I am being stubborn!!! I don’t have good medical coverage right now and I don’t want to go in to only have them tell me, “you are fine as far as we call tell. Nothing is wrong, go home!” I’ve been there with these same reactions before so I am laying low today, maybe even tomorrow and I will let things work themselves out. They always do. I know God is not through with me yet.
What would you do? How far would you go if you knew you weren’t gonna die? Would you be all in and still posting blogs?

The REAL killer of your marriage: And why no one mentions it

The REAL killer of your marriage: And why no one mentions it

Well written!!!

all our lemmony things

I have always had a thing for once-in-a-lifetime romance.

I think it started as a teenager when I decided that my favorite kind of books to write were the ones where the two characters fall in love in the end, despite the whole world coming against them. And then it all just steered me on the course– I discovered things like Nicholas Sparks and The Thorn Birds (a 1980’s miniseries you should totally check out) and Wuthering Heights and I listened to Air Supply. Love, love, love— undying, sickly sweet love wrapped in more rose petals and love.

thorn birds

And it only grew. Not just for me, but for the rest of us. Movies, music, novels, sitcoms with devilishly adorable characters and even cuter plot lines that lead up to that anticipated first kiss. *Let’s be honest, Jim and Pam in The Office made us gush*. And it bred in me the sense…

What Is In Your Glovebox?

What Is In Your Glovebox?

Today I want to talk to you about the journey and making sure you have all the necessary items to survive the journey.

Currently here in Minnesota we are in one of the warmest winters on record. Who knows? Maybe God is bringing back the natural order of the world he first created where there was no snow, there was no ice. But, it is well known that in winter you never travel without the necessary items in your glove box. A winter survival kit is necessary because you never know when you will get stranded and the cold nights where it can dip below zero is a terrible way to be alone in the dark.

But, I am not talking about winter survival today. I am talking about the journey of life survival. What is in your glove box for your journey today? I feel there are some things that are absolutely necessary in everyone’s glove box for their journey in life no matter what model of vehicle they drive. By model of vehicle they drive I mean their cultural status or financial status. We are all people and we all have certain things that we need no matter our station in life.

RelationshipsFirst and foremost, we need relationships. Relationships are the driving force of any journey. Now, I know there are people that will tell you that they desire to be left completely alone and isolated from the rest of the world, but nine times out of ten that stems from past hurts. God created us to be together. God created us to relate to one another. What sort of relationships are you carrying along on your journey today? Are they healthy? Are they supportive? Are they dragging you down? Or are they dragging you to a road you don’t need to go to where you will become stuck?

God created us to thrive and be alive and if we are with the wrong people, that just simply won’t happen. It’s okay to pick up new passengers along the journey, but sometimes we need to drop them off at their own destination.

FaithFaith. I know, I know. There are people in the world who say they have no faith in anything. Once again, this stems from past hurts. Everyone needs to have faith in something bigger than themselves. This is what helps us continue on the journey. Where is your journey leading? What is your destination? I can assure you that where you are trying to arrive is bigger and better than where you are now. You can’t see it at the moment, but you know if you keep on the journey you will get there. Surprise, my friend. That’s faith! You have faith in something bigger than you whether you believe it or not. And it is one of the more important things to carry along with you in your glove box survival kit!

PurposePurpose. Why are you on this journey? What are you trying to accomplish? You need to have a set goal in mind. We were created for a journey but that journey needs a destination. Where are you trying to bring your life? Is it with other people? Is there a specific goal you have in mind for the end of your life so you can look at the journey and say, “yep, I did it!” What are you using as a guide to get there? Is it another person? Is it the path they used before you? Are you following in footsteps? How do you know where you are going?

Roadmapand we need to know how to get there. What are you using as a road map on your journey? Some people use their intuition, some people call it a gut feeling. Other people use the knowledge of others. Some people use their higher power or their faith. No matter what you are looking at as the way to get to your destination, we are all using a road map. It is essential to have one of these on the journey. What is your road map and how are you sure it is leading your correctly?

Toolbox. Sometimes we experience breakdowns on the journey. I know I sure have. I have made wrong turns and gone down roads in my life that I know I never should have, but they have all lead me to where I am now. Yes, even the breakdowns. But, how do we fix the vehicle (our body and spirit) when we experience the breakdown? Do you have the essential tools needed to fix any breakdown that can occur? What if you get a mental disorder? What would you do? What if it is a physical issue? Would you be able to check into a hospital? What will you do in the event of any breakdown or becoming stuck at a location in your life? How will you handle it? These are important questions to answer. Do you have the right tools? Bible

We are all on a journey to somewhere. We will all encounter things that will cause the journey to stop, maybe for a moment, may it will be a long layover until we can fix something or get ourselves unstuck. The key is to know that you have a glove box. Your vehicle does not need to stay broken down. Your journey does not need to be traveled alone. You can pick up passengers to keep you company along the way. Everything you need for your journey will be provided at one time or another. I promise you, God does not want you to experience a bad journey and He promises that you will never do it alone. Did you know that even when it appears your glove box is empty and you appear to be stuck you still have one of the greatest tools in your toolbox to keep moving forward? It is God. He is always with you during the journey and He loves you so much. Carry His Word in your glove box and you will always have a full toolbox to fix any problem that arises.

Detours And Fences

Humanity has a spirit that is all go, no quit, we won’t take any obstacles and we will not stop. But, tonight, I offer a different question. What if those obstacles and fences are directing us into something greater?
In the late 1800’s during the great cattle drives here in America, a man saw building fences as a great opportunity. Barbed wire is the invention that cut off the cattle paths across the plains and created the mid-American farmer! Because of a roadblock we had to find a new way, and we did.
What are the roadblocks and fences you are facing today? Are they going to stop you in your tracks or will they redirect your paths into a new destiny? I met a roadblock just over four years ago. I was living in the Twin Cities and a string of bad decisions and bad luck with employment meant I had to find a new way. I moved back to my hometown area of my boyhood. I said within two years I would be back in the Twin Cities where I have better opportunities for my chosen career. God had other plans and now I am living the life of a servant in Walmart as a cashier and I have a college degree.
However, this move introduced me to my wife, Britni. Had I followed my ways and not allowed the fences to redirect me, I would have never met her and who knows how miserable my life would be without her? I promise you the sun would not shine as bright. I would not have begun the opportunity with a small group in this town that God is showing me will do great things! Yes, sometimes fences and roadblocks can be blessings, so don’t always run from them. Sometimes it is okay to embrace the change. You may end up pleasantly surprised.
