In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Me Time.”
If we lived in a world where the perfect Saturday could exist, mine would include not leaving the house for the morning and spending all day with my wife. She is the cooker in our home, so the perfect Saturday would begin with a breakfast of eggs, ham steak, hash browns, orange juice, milk… and why not? Her, should be world famous, french toast with nutmeg and syrup, or choke cherry syrup!! YUM! Yeah, it is definitely no surprise why I have gained 30+ pounds in the year and a half we have been married!! I eat well in this house! My bride wants to start a blog about her cooking and home decor she does, but she works too many hours right now, so it will have to wait. When it happens, I will let you all know! Back to the perfect Saturday…
Hopefully, this perfect Saturday will happen when it is warm out. I love the warmth of the sun and here in Minnesota, we are not getting that right now. We are in for a winter storm! Batten down the hatches! The next few days would be perfect days to stay in and cuddle with Netflix, but when it is warm out, my bride and I love to be outdoors. We have been saying for YEARS that we need to get out on the water and go fishing– maybe this perfect Saturday that I am creating here will have to include that.
Whatever the perfect day includes, I know it includes my wife. Even if we are just staying home if she is there, it is perfect to me. It amazes me how perfection can be found by simply having one person involved in the event. Do you have someone like that in your life who just makes every moment fun no matter what you are doing? What person makes your day perfect?
