Tell us about the role that faith plays in your life — or doesn’t.
The way I see the world is every single person in it has faith. We all have faith we will see tomorrow. We all have faith we are correct in our assumptions. Don’t believe me? Have you ever seen air? Have you seen every square inch of the round world? Is there a famous person you have never met in person, but you know they still exist? That’s all faith!
There is no such thing as faithless!! Have you ever took a vacation to a new destination? That’s faith!! You only knew it was there from previous stories of those who have been there. Yet you still ventured away from home to see that place, why? Faith!
I know a lot of people who question why I have faith in God and His Son, Jesus Christ. How do I know they exist when I have never seen them? Because I have seen the evidence for them all around me. Sure, there was a time I didn’t, but those days are gone. I see God in nature. I see God in the smiley giggle of a baby. I see God in our pet cats, Butler and Mew and our dog, Rollie. They have faith in my wife and I that we will always provide for them.
The same is true of human children. They have faith in things not seen all the time. They have a pure love and faith in the adults of their life that they will be provided for in all situations. And it is often true. Yes, sure there are times adults do not take charge of their responsibilities for children and children can get hurt. That is often because of lack of faith. That is because of lack of listening to the still small voice of God saying ‘This is what I need you to do!’
How often do we corrupt God’s plan by not only not listening but by not believing that He is constantly trying to whisper to our soul? We all have faith if we are willing to listen.
