The Sandbox Writing Challenge this week gives us a photo. I have used a different one for the purpose of this post
The innocence of a child should not be taken away at a young age. There are things we don’t wish them to see. She knows there are things she is not ready to see. There is a lot of careless stuff happening in this world and as an adult it is up to us to ATTEMPT to shield our children from those things as long as possible.
She is innocent and she is playing a simple game of Peek-A-Boo, or as some call it, I Can’t See You. Children have this innocence about them that if they don’t see it, it must not exist.
As adults we know that is not the case. There are things that we cannot shut our eyes to in the world, and yet, so many do. We live in a world where we think, ‘Someone else will take care of it.’ or, some adults still think, ‘If I don’t see it, it didn’t happen.’ We have a whole bunch of people who now believe The Holocaust didn’t happen, or slavery didn’t happen. We shut our eyes to the truth.
Then there are those who shut their eyes to the truth of Jesus Love. This is not a game, folks! Bad things happen. Evil exists in the world today. We can no longer shut our eyes and simply wish it away as if it didn’t happen. Closing our eyes to the truths of the world will not make them go away. We need to act!
I Make Positive Actions Come True is an acronym that came to me a little over a year ago, or maybe it was two years ago. Anyway, the point is, we cannot play peek-a-boo with the problems of this world anymore! We need to stand together as humanity and all together work as one to make positive actions come true. Enough with the negative. Enough with the closing our eyes to the truth. This world is full of bad, evil stuff!! But it doesn’t have to be, if only we would act!!
