We have all heard the story of The Tortoise And The Hare, right? The hare thought he needed to rush through life and when he thought he was far enough ahead he could take a breather. Whereas, the tortoise took each step slow and steady, with purpose of the end goal in mind. So, who ended up winning? The tortoise!!
When we will learn this same thing in our own lives? We think that every single moment is so urgent to get things done that we rush through them and don’t slow down and take notice of the things that truly matter. We rush through to get to the next thing, but where does it get us? Life is not meant to be lived urgently! It is meant to be savored. Take time today to appreciate the relationships around you. You may wake up tomorrow and realize those relationships, the ones you should have treasured yesterday have slowly passed by you and are now gone.
