Fortunate Lives.

Fortune, root word of fortunate. Count your blessings, for you have more than others. Even those who seem to have less, notice how they smile? Do you notice how they seem to shine, even in what you or I would consider adversity?

Maybe you look at me in that way. Being in a wheelchair, in a body that doesn’t work as well as most others. Yet, I consider myself to be fortunate. I have a job. I have a home. I have a wife who stands by me even though in our five short years of our relationship we have stretched our faith to the limit. How much can a person take? Just breathe and see it through.

We are fortunate to feel the pain. It lets us know we are alive.
