Blogging Advice.

I have said it before and I will say it again, I have been blogging for 3 years now! I can’t decide if it doesn’t seem like it’s been that long, or if it seems like an eternity. Time is an odd construct because it can be bent and molded to fit our thought process.

Anyway, in all that time I have come to the conclusion that in order to be successful at blogging I absolutely must take the time to not only make impressions through my own writing, but also the writing of others. Blogging, if done right for my goals, can easily take 40+ hours per week. Add on top of that my regular job, my part time jobs and the most important of all, spending time with my wife, and that is a full life!!

In order to make an impression we need to interact with others. Otherwise, we are merely floating through life. We have spoken of the dangers of that this week as well. Being unanchored to something that we hold dear and just floating aimlessly will not get us anywhere. I, for one, choose to be anchored to other people. I see my purpose as being one of relationships. To relate to others struggles and triumphs. Yes, I have had my fair share of both.

The only way to make an impression is to throw ourselves out there and connect with others. And that holds true in the blogging world too. Are your numbers not where you want them to be? Stop writing and interact with another blogger. There will be those you won’t agree with. There will be those who you won’t feel compelled to read what they write because it won’t resonate with you. But, there will be those you will call close friends and family, even without meeting them face to face. Words have that much power! So, step out there and read blogs and get involved.

I Make Positive Actions Come True!! That is a life of IMPACT!! That is an impression to live with.
