Third full day here in Montana. I have experienced a pow-wow, good food, awesome friends and family and a come-from-behind win in Farkle (or as my wife and mother-in-law call it, Ziltch!!)
It is 10:30a.m. and we are sitting outside. This is what I would call the perfect morning. It’s somewhat warmish, but we are close enough to the mountains that there is a cool breeze. And, finally this morning Montana is living up to her name, Big Sky Country. Clear blue sky as far as I can see.
I only hope they are getting those wild fires under control finally and people and places are being rescued. Here in the United States we are having some crazy weather, but as I sit on the patio at my mother-in-law’s home, I feel at peace and like I have my own little slice of Heaven. Birds, sunshine, great weather and clear skies! Thank You, Lord for this blessing, because I know in others lives the storms are just beginning.
To those people, I know hurricanes and flood waters and fires still rage, but I pray you know the peace that passes all understanding only found in Jesus Christ. He will always make a way. To my friend going on a long journey in a couple days, know my heart and prayers are with you also.
