Last night I accomplished something that, to be perfectly honest, I am not completely comfortable doing. I work for a mobile DJ company called DJ Systems out of Montevideo, Minnesota. You should totally look us up if you are looking for a DJ!! Will travel if the price is right.
You’d think after two years I would be comfortable with a DJ setting that also has karaoke. It’s the karaoke part that I am not really comfortable accomplishing. See, that adds another factor into the show. Drinks, people, wanna be superstars, and then you give them a $200 microphone and pray they don’t break it!
I admire those who have the guts to run a karaoke only show. I mean, talk about putting it all out on the line. One drunk person puts your mic into a pitcher, game over. Another could wanna be a rock star and kickstart your television screen. Yikes!!
But it’s true what they say, no risk, no reward. I have been doing this now for quite some time with a dear friend of mine, basically a third brother. And he is really good at it! He smooths the crowd and makes them all comfortable and knows when to say when. If a person is going to harm the equipment, nope. Game over. Sit down, please.
So, last night I did it all on my own. And I can literally count on one hand the number of times I have run a karaoke/music DJ show alone.
That’s right, three times. And last night, ROCKED!!! Last night was so full of energy and positive vibes!!! Everyone in the world needs to experience that in their respective careers!!!
My blog tries to be all about making positive actions come true. I.M.P.A.C.T. I Make Positive Actions Come True. And last night, I did. I fought through the fear and the near breakdowns when a couple things went haywire, but all things considered, I blessed a lot of lives last night! I just wanted you to know that today.
