Yesterday I took a leap! I have no clue where I will land. I have no clue if I can keep soaring. But, in order for the bird to fly it needs two things. It needs the belief it can fly and it needs the courage to jump.
Yesterday, or earlier today some would call it, I jumped. I jumped from a job I had been at for seven years. I went on medical leave for my neck surgery on December 19th and today, or yesterday, April 12th, 2018 I jumped out of my comfort zone.
It’s funny, because as soon as I did, literally within the hour, I met a friend who helps local troubled teens who have travelled the wrong roads in life, they have committed crimes. And they need a guide to help get them back on track. Turns out, they recently had a volunteer position open up and she wants me to join in the group!
No, it’s not a paid position, it is volunteer. But, it is something I am passionate about and who knows where God can lead it? It could be a paid position someday? You never know what seeds God will nurture into serious growth. And you’ll never know how far you can fly until you spread your wings and jump from that comfortable landing you’ve found yourself on for far too long!! I jumped. Now I pray I can fly!
