Fearfully And Wonderfully Made.

Last night I had a sleep study. I got to the appointment at 9:30p.m. And I was asleep by 10:30p.m. The nurse told me that two times during the night I ripped the mask from my face. I guess it takes some getting used to.

She also told me in the morning when I woke up that I would definitely be getting a c-pap machine. This is a machine that has a mask that goes over either your nose or your nose and mouth. I liked the latter better. Turns out, I have sleep apnea. I haven’t heard the official diagnosis and details of the study from the doctor who read everything, but there was one point the nurse told me that I find interesting. She said this was hereditary. Meaning, it was passed down through the gene pool from my parents.

Now, if you’ve been paying attention to my blog, you know I am what I consider a Jesus Freak. Yes, Jesus is my best friend through His Holy Spirit. And it says in The Bible we are all fearfully and wonderfully made. If we are all individually made by God, how can we share any physical abnormality traits like sleep apnea, or heart disease. ‘Persons with family members with disease A are at a slightly higher risk of contracting disease A….’ we’ve all heard the commercials. But what about God making us individually??!

Is it possible to have one and the other?! This is the thought that plagues my mind this morning at 1:21a.m. Individuals or do we automatically contract what should be individual traits from our parents? I can’t seem to rectify the two.
