I am not who I once was. I am not even the same person I was when I began writing this sentence. With every word I write on this page, I become someone new. New thoughts emerge. New ideas blossom into keystrokes on the keyboard. They, in turn, move into words, and thoughts, and phrases.
It has been said that every day we are learning. I believe that is true, but I wish to break it down further. Every moment we change. Every moment we grown and we learn. As you read these words new thoughts are emerging from you. Because of this one blog post you are now a changed person with more knowledge. You have learned my thoughts, if nothing else.
Every moment is new from the one before. Every moment we grow older and often times we learn from our experiences. But will we ever experience the exact same experience twice? No. Time and learning marches on. Even if we experience the same situation a thousand times we are still different every time it occurs.
Life is a series of infinite learning experiences. Although, in the grand scheme of Eternity, they indeed are not infinite. One day, we will have all the answers to our questions. Until then, we will keep on learning on faith.
It is no coincidence that today’s Daily Post Word is Eyes. I am on a trip in Northern Minnesota with a couple amazing friends (who are getting married and want to get married up here) and my beautiful bride.
Today we started out slow, but by ten a.m. we were out the door and waiting at the gate of The Lake Superior Zoo. Definitely an impressive thing to visit if you are in the area. They experienced some flooding in 2013 and are still in the recovery process of that. But, they still have an amazing selection of things to see. Have you ever actually seen the eye of the tiger? Today, I literally got to look eye to eye with one!! Lemurs, lizards and spiders exhibits all got our hearts racing. And then we entered the night!
It took a few minutes for our eyes to adjust, but the sites to see in the nocturnal exhibit were amazing!! Bats, and cute, fuzzy four-legged animals that look cuddly, but know how to hold their own in the darkness of the wild can be seen! As we exited the darkness we wandered to a souvenir penny machine that gave out engraved, flattened pennies commemorating the zoo. Peacocks, a bald eagle and cranes are available for all bird lovers. And I got to witness what I can only imagine Bugs Bunny would look like as a real bunny at 22 pounds!!
There is so much to see at The Great Lakes Zoo that you have to experience it yourself. I recommend the zoo, but bring your walking shoes and if you are in a wheelchair like me, make sure your arms are in good shape for all the paved hills.
Or, ride in style. But if you are in Duluth, Minnesota, make sure to visit The Lake Superior Zoo. It will be a memorable experience with many great species of animals. There is even a petting zoo for those who wish to get up close. Check them out online at www.lszooduluth.org and plan your visit soon!!
Jesus Christ ate a last supper with His disciples. He ate many meals with many different people. It wasn’t always a feast, but when Jesus was there it was always something special.
Today He wants to invite YOU to a feast! Heaven is going to be awesome! And the only way you will get there is to be on the invitation list through Jesus Christ. Will you take this invitation and come join the feast?
Sometimes the devil whispers in our ear, but we smile anyway.
Sometimes the devil tries to convince us we are not good enough, but we try anyway.
Sometimes the devil whispers to give up and give in, but we fight through anyway.
Sometimes the devil convinces us we are frail and weak, but we fight through our weakness because Jesus is stronger.
When we are weak, Jesus is strong.
When we are unsure, Jesus gives us peace.
When we are at war with others, Jesus whispers turn the other cheek.
When we have been wounded and are frail and weary, Jesus gives us strength.
Seek ye first the kingdom, and even though this life brings pain and frailties and weakness, we can be made strong.
A shepherd slew a giant.
12 fishermen spread the gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.
A deaf composer composed some of the greatest music we have ever known.
Do not fear frailty! Embrace it and see how The Lord uses you to bless others.
I was recently nominated by specscladeyes to do a 3 days of quotes. I am also supposed to nominate 3 other bloggers to do the same. However, I don’t know of 3 other bloggers who would definitely follow through with this task, so if you wish to join in the fun, please do so. I nominate all who may read this.
We all have our own opinions and it is very rare to find two individuals who agree whole-heartedly on every option of every opinion ever formed by either of them.
You are an original, just like everyone else. That is another quote I find amusing. And they go hand in hand. In my opinion, any way.
We are all originals and no two people will ever look at anything from the exact same viewpoint ever. In order for that to happen two individuals of exactly the same height would have to stand in exactly the same spot in exactly the same position. Physics is trying to work this out through quantum physics, and yes, some particles have been found to do these traits, but humans cannot.
We are each individuals with our own experiences and it is very rare that we believe we are wrong. Enter arguments. Enter reasons for battle. And mostly, enter the male ego! I am a male, so I can say that. You may have a different opinion, and you are wrong! HA!
But seriously, one of the most funny men of comedy said this once and I found it deeply profound, true and most of all, funny. Laugh a little, my friends. Put down the opinions and shake hands, or hug, or just say good job, it’s more hygienic these days. But love each other. We all have opinions and we are never going to agree whole-heartedly on anything in this world until it is proven as fact, like gravity. Drop something from a tall building, it will always fall. We can all be right someday when the world joins together as one humanity. And that will be a glorious day we all agree.
When I think of the circus I think of these things. It’s a lot like life, isn’t it? Some things are good and some are bad. Some we are meant to stay away from, and still others bring us in and we are locked. A circus is like that. Good and bad. But life isn’t meant to be lived as a circus.
You are not under the control of one ring master coordinating a show for laughter and amusement.
You have choices to break the chains and be free to not have to do tricks for others. You are free to enjoy life like the innocent child who sees twirlers and acrobats and animals that have a soul, be free!!
A circus is a cage of illusions. Your life is not a circus but a wonderful thing full of unknown joys. Find that, like a child at the circus.

I am not perfect. You are not perfect. God is perfect. In The Bible He teaches us about who He is. But, we still didn’t get it. A lot of people still don’t get it.
The epitome of God, the ONLY epitome of God can be found in Jesus Christ. Now, the world will tell you, ‘He was a good man. He did many great things and helped a great many people. But He’s dead now.’ Or my personal favorite that has risen up in recent centuries (pun intended!!) ‘He never existed!! There is no proof He was ever here.’ LOL!!! History (and not just The Bible) tells us He existed, so let’s take that one off the table.
Jesus Christ was the Earthly epitome of God. No sin. No bad deeds, except in the eyes of men. He stuck around those who the rest of the world cast out. And more than that, He forgave them.
We need more of that epitome of God in this world. The world will have you believe God is all fire and brimstone, judgements and condemnation. Nothing could be further from the truth, who Jesus said He is, by the way. The Way, The Truth and The Life (John 14:6) check it out.
Jesus came to forgive. He was God’s answer to the bad that we humans have done. And still so many people don’t believe that. Why?
Because we now have a world of Christians who are anything but the epitome of Jesus Christ. As a Christians we are to become more and more Like Christ as we grow in relationship to Him. Even in myself, this has its times when Satan whispers and I fall short. Most recently it was when I didn’t give forgiveness to a local person condemned of a crime. He was found guilty and I didn’t offer forgiveness on a social website. Not very Christlike, right?
There are times when humans will join the side and thoughts of the world. As I said earlier, we are human, we are not Jesus Christ Himself. There will only be ONE who will EVER totally embody the epitome of God, and that is His Only Son, Jesus Christ. We can follow Him as much as we can, but we will still always be human and have the ability to sin. Jesus Christ will say to those who believe in Him and what He did on the cross, ‘I am the one. You are forgiven.’ And with that it is finished.
