Imagine this.

Imagine this.

Imagine something with so much depth and width and then multiply it times Eternity. Do you have a number in your mind?

If you have a number in mind, you do not yet understand the Love AND Grace AND Forgiveness of our Heavenly Father. So many think they have this all figured out, we don’t! There is so much depth to God we cannot humanly explain Him. It all needs to be taken on Faith.

Now THAT is depth!

The Invitation.

The Invitation.
Jesus Christ ate a last supper with His disciples. He ate many meals with many different people. It wasn’t always a feast, but when Jesus was there it was always something special.

Today He wants to invite YOU to a feast! Heaven is going to be awesome! And the only way you will get there is to be on the invitation list through Jesus Christ. Will you take this invitation and come join the feast?

Sometimes We Smile.

Sometimes We Smile.

Sometimes the devil whispers in our ear, but we smile anyway.

Sometimes the devil tries to convince us we are not good enough, but we try anyway.

Sometimes the devil whispers to give up and give in, but we fight through anyway.

Sometimes the devil convinces us we are frail and weak, but we fight through our weakness because Jesus is stronger.

When we are weak, Jesus is strong.

When we are unsure, Jesus gives us peace.

When we are at war with others, Jesus whispers turn the other cheek.

When we have been wounded and are frail and weary, Jesus gives us strength.

Seek ye first the kingdom, and even though this life brings pain and frailties and weakness, we can be made strong.

A shepherd slew a giant.

12 fishermen spread the gospel of Jesus Christ worldwide.

A deaf composer composed some of the greatest music we have ever known.

Do not fear frailty! Embrace it and see how The Lord uses you to bless others.

Food For Thought.

Food For Thought.

When I think of today’s Daily Post Word Of The Day, Fork, my thoughts veer off in two directions. Just like a fork in a road, I think of the journey and all the forks that can rise up to meet us, and I think of the untensil used to eat foods.

Both of these forks can be nourishing in different ways when used properly. A fork in the road of life can give us new direction. As Led Zepplin said, “There’s still time to change the road you’re on.” Over the past five years I have often wondered if I am on the right road. Walmart was never meant to become a career for me, yet here I am five and a half years later and every opportunity I have tried to capture has died.

As my dad says, ‘Grow where you are planted.’ He also says, ‘Growth happens in the valleys.’ So if you feel you have taken the wrong fork, or are trying to come to a new fork, stay the course. God has a way of working out blessings no matter what forks we take.

For example, if I had left WALMART and opted for a different career, I probably would not have stayed in the small town we are in. I say ‘we’ because now for the rest of my life I am a we. My wife and I are on one journey together, no matter what forks come up. And without staying at Walmart that wouldn’t have happened. She was a very pleasant surprise on this fork in the road.

The other fork I wish to talk about today is the fork of nourishment. Forks feed us. They bring fruits and meats to our mouths. I wouldn’t recommend soup with a fork though. I also wouldn’t recommend any soup that isn’t home-made. We need to retrain our brains and our forks to eat like the majority of the world still does- Healthy!!

Somewhere over the past 40-50 years America has entered the fast food nation. We like everything on the go. We have put down our forks for hand-held, preservative rich hamburgers and fries– Finger Foods.

I was made aware of my own fork habits this past few days. I have an ongoing battle with cellulitis and I can’t help but wonder if my own eating habits are mostly to blame. The doctor told me during my hospital stay that cellulitis is like asthma or pneumonia, once you get it, it is in there and will continue to flare up whenever it wants. Bah!! Talk about an unexpected fork in the road, possibly due to my own fork habits!!

So, cleansing it is. Fruits. Vegetables. Fresh, lean meats. I admit, this morning I did sneak a Dr. Pepper and some peanut m & m’s, but hey, I’m only human, right? I am going to do everything I can to hold to it now. That’s why I confessed it here. Now, the whole world can hold me accountable to my fork actions.

One final story I wish to share with you all about forks. The year was sometime around 1988, maybe it was 1987. I was 11 or 12 years old and our family was around the dinner table. If memory serves, which it often doesn’t these days, my parents were talking about taking my younger brother to one of our local small towns for ice cream, or to run an errand. I remember that I was not going to be included in this trip, so with as much gusto as I could muster, I said, ‘This is where I put the fork down!!’ because I wanted to go too! Sadly, now at 234 pounds I have picked that fork back up too many times!!

Well, here we are at another fork in the road. I am a blogger. The entire world has access to my words. As one world, all nations, under God, will you all join me and say, ‘This is where we put the unhealthy food and forks down!!’ My friends, we were created to be so much more than we have become. But we will only see our true potential when we first seek Him who gave us that potential. He and He alone will rise us to potentials we have never dreamed of if only we seek Him first.

Seek Ye first the Kingdom Of God, and His righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto you.’

Matthew 6:33

He wants to add blessings and years into us, not pounds. And when we seek Him, He will make every fork that comes up in our journey and on our plates a blessing.

Raiders Of The Lost Art.

Raiders Of The Lost Art.

I am a writer. I am a blogger. Some days I have a love/hate relationship with inspiration. Some days it comes quite easily, and others it takes its own sweet time.

I have been racking my brain, going over and over with scenarios in my mind about yesterday’s Daily Post Prompt. It asks us to describe what we would write in as the 8th Deadly Sin if we were allowed to add one. So, as any good researcher would these days I took to the Internet.

I went to Google, which is my default provider for images and information on my site. Came up empty! So, I went to my Facebook and asked the question in my Rolling Blogger Fan Page. I came up with a few good ideas and one good discussion on a good idea.

I am still holding off on writing that post though because I am feeling more of a list of Deadly Sins coming into my spirit.

But, as I mentioned, I am a blogger. And being a blogger requires daily diligence in writing, reading and searching. Searching for ideas and searching for new bloggers to read and follow in hopes of gaining new readers and followers for my own blog.

So, as it turns out, a day that seemed to be lacking of inspiration or willingness to create a new deadly sin has created an opportunity to read some new blogs I may not have found otherwise and low and behold, I wrote a post any way!! Not all days are the same, but all days require working on and creating a site which I hope will generate a nice income one day. Until then, I shall continue to write, read and research. Stay the course and keep moving my fellow bloggers, even when you don’t know where to go.

Where Is God?

Where Is God?

We all experience pain. We all experience hardships. Sometimes they come at us in wave after wave. Just because we make it through one or two waves doesn’t mean the storm will pass.

In these times the human mind has a hard time seeing the good in a situation. We lose family members through death, disease and divorce. We can lose our homes in a fire or a storm. We can go into work one day and find out we are no longer needed by the company. These and so many other scenarios happen to thousands of people every year. And often times they look to the sky and ask, ‘Where was God?!!’ Sometimes we lose our faith because we don’t see an immediate solution. But I ask you, What if YOU are that solution?

God doesn’t always come through in a burning bush or His Son, Jesus Christ. No. These days He may use you, He may use me. Maybe He is using me right now!! Maybe He is using you right now!!

If there is someone asking the question in a hard time right now, ‘Where is God?’, look around you. You see that neighbor bringing you a hot meal? That is God. You see that city worker helping with the clean up after a natural disaster? That is God. You see that trusted friend being a confidant and friend during a death or divorce? That is God.

He is all around us and asking us to be His Hands and Feet all over the world around us, but too many people are too busy to listen. Do I have your attention now? Are you listening now?! It is up to each one of us to use our talents for others, to help the world that no longer believes see God!!! What can you do? The answer to that is as simple as what are you good at? That is where God wants you to help an unbelieving world!! And when you do, GIVE THE CREDIT AND THE GLORY TO HIM!!!!

Where was or is God? He is within each and every one of us if we are willing to listen. Be blessed tonight and be a blessing to someone else tonight.
